Change and growth is what we know for sure. For Chirine and Alain, with the changing of seasons, came the growth of their family. During the winter, we photographed Chirine’s maternity session. It was a peaceful session, full of love, calmness and excitement. Throughout the session, Chirine and I even had the pleasure of enjoying Alain beautifully playing on the grand piano. Such a serene atmosphere, it was amazing!!
With the coming of spring, we are guaranteed new flowers, trees coming alive once again, new resolutions (the real ones, not like new years’ one), fresh excitement and promises of new life.
With spring came the beautiful Zoe. The new life spring had promised. It couldn’t get any more exciting.
Babies are cute, there is no denying that. But then there are some babies that make you want to eat them for dinner! (contextually speaking of course) Zoe is scrumptious! I am torn between the rolls on her thighs, her perfectly chubby cheeks and her facial expressions that show her personality… or maybe her hair, as it’s my favourite feature (btw: best baby hair I ever photographed!!) So I’ll let you be the judge of which part is your favorite. I bet the answer will be being e v e r y t h i n g!
Through this shoot, I wanted to give Chirine a piece of this time back to her. It was important to me to capture some of the little daily details that happen. The ones you don’t really notice today, but will cherish one day…. when the babies, along with flowers and trees, grow up tall. With each passing season brings a new normal to the family unit… a new chapter.
Thank you for letting me into your new season xo
Be safe, happy, healthy… loved
Thier dog followed us everywhere and wanted to be a part of everything, already the baby’s personal guardian!
Doesn’t she just take your breath away hiding from the sunlight!
I LOVE the way she looks at her father. SOOO precious!
Yes… that is natural hair it matches her personality… funny and perfectly straight and honest!
This is my FAVOURITE picture. Her arms are like drumsticks… she just looks like a little monkey…..and her cheeks… love!
Honestly though, you know EXACTLY what she is thinking… ” it’s not time for bath time mom…. what are you doing?!”
I know… I would be scared too Zoe.
This is pure serenity… and perfection.
Oh how things change so quickly…. enjoy the changes, enjoy the new beginnings and embrace all the new learning lessons and routines.
